Job Description

Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced midwife to join our team at Northwick Park Hospital. As a midwife with us, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their babies, from antenatal through to postnatal care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and babies, while maintaining high standards of care and adhering to hospital protocols. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team and make a positive difference in the lives of families.

Responsibilities:

Providing antenatal care, including health assessments, screenings, and education for expectant mothers.
Assisting with labour and delivery, providing emotional support and pain management techniques.
Conducting postnatal assessments and providing guidance on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
Participating in continuous professional development and training activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

equirements:

Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a midwife in a hospital setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centred care.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and nights.
