Job Description

As an agency mental health nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exemplary care across various wards and departments. Your shifts will involve working as a vital part of the multidisciplinary team in diverse clinical settings, all dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care in alignment with our trust values.
In your accountable role, you will focus on delivering exceptional mental health care and support to your allocated patients. You will be entrusted with a range of clinical duties that may include providing intensive one-to-one care for patients in need of close support and supervision. This could encompass caring for individuals awaiting mental health assessments as well as those experiencing conditions such as psychosis, dementia, and delirium.

Requirements

• NMC Registration: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is a pre-requisite.
• NHS Experience: Candidates must have at least 6 months of NHS experience within the last three years, specifically within a mental healthcare department.
• Clinical Expertise: A strong foundation in clinical knowledge is required, along with a proactive work ethic and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication capabilities are essential, both for documentation and interpersonal interaction.
• Professional Conduct: Honesty, integrity, and a compassionate, patient-centred approach to care are fundamental to this role.
