We are seeking experienced ITU Nurses to join our team, providing top-tier care at a leading healthcare facility in Hereford. This is an exciting opportunity for nurses who are confident, competent, and passionate about delivering the highest standard of care to critically ill patients. With competitive pay rates and the flexibility to choose between day and night shifts, this role offers both professional fulfilment and work-life balance.

Job Description

As an ITU Nurse, you will play a critical role in the care and management of patients in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU). Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering High-Quality Patient Care: Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients, ensuring all their clinical needs are met with the utmost precision and compassion.
Medication Administration and Monitoring: Administer medications accurately, manage ventilators, and perform other critical care interventions, ensuring patient safety at all times.
Patient Assessment: Continuously monitor and assess patient conditions, responding swiftly and effectively to any changes or emergencies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including doctors, other nurses, and allied health professionals, to deliver comprehensive patient care and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided and any changes in the patient’s condition.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

CVC Competence: You must provide a signed record of competence in the care of central venous catheters (CVC) within the last 12 months. This includes skills such as administering medication, taking blood samples, and other related procedures.
ITU Experience: A minimum of one year of experience working in an Intensive Therapy Unit is essential.
Strong Clinical Skills: You must possess strong clinical skills, particularly in critical care nursing, and the ability to manage complex patient care independently.
Flexibility: You should be available to work both day and night shifts, depending on the needs of the healthcare facility.
Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team are crucial for this role.
This role is perfect for a dedicated ITU Nurse looking to advance their career while making a significant difference in patient outcomes. If you meet the requirements and are passionate about critical care, we encourage you to apply.
