We are currently seeking dedicated and highly skilled Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) nurses to join a respected NHS Trust in East London on a locum basis. This role is perfect for clinicians eager to contribute to outstanding critical care while enjoying the flexibility of agency work.
About the Role
• Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients within a busy and supportive ITU environment
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient management
• Support emergency interventions, ventilation care, invasive line management, and continuous monitoring
• Shifts available across days, nights, and weekends, offering excellent flexibility
Job Description
As an ITU Nurse, you will play a vital role in caring for critically ill patients requiring complex monitoring and advanced life support. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programmes, working closely with intensivists and the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for managing ventilated patients, monitoring haemodynamics, administering IV therapies, and responding rapidly to deteriorating conditions.
This role is ideal for nurses who thrive under pressure, adapt quickly, and are committed to delivering the highest standard of care in challenging clinical situations.

• Minimum 2 years of recent ITU/ICU experience in the NHS
• Critical Care Course – 60 credits completed
• Valid NMC registration
• Mandatory training and compliance up to date (or willingness to update through us)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making abilities
